Our First Look Friday alum, Calvin Valentine returns with another strong effort with, “Supernova,” a new video featuring Danielle Henderson.
Rising star Calvin Valentine comes with the futuristic, otherworldly music video for “Supernova,” which made its premiere on MTVU. Featuring the beautiful Danielle Henderson, this Eugene standout cut was shot-and-directed by Timslew in one day on a road trip from Oregon to California.

“I had the idea of doing a road trip from Eugene to Los Angeles because the theme of the album is about my personal and creative transition,” Calvin says about the video. For those unfamiliar, Valentine has been making music since the ripe old age of six as a drummer. By the time he was 19, he was on the Warped Tour with his band, Medium Troy.

He would go on to produce for the likes of Planet Asia, De La Soul, Devin the Dude, Juicy J, Boogie and J. Dilla‘s younger brother, Illa J. Speaking of Illa, the two recently collaborated on the former’s latest project titled, Home. In addition to that, he released a limited edition vinyl for Eugene, plus a mini-documentary.
