After signing with Motown and going through their hit making machine, the group were finally ready to be introduced to the American public, and 1970 is the year the Jackson 5 exploded onto the pop music scene.
Achieving four consecutive No. 1s with their debut singles, the group released three albums and embarked on their first nationwide tour, performing to thousands of screaming fans. Considered the biggest thing since the Beatles, they were instant successes with a capital S, and as the Jackson 5’s lead singer, Michael would for the very first time experience the fame and fortune that comes with it.
