Since the social and political reckoning of 2020, brands across the world promised to diversify their hiring processes, as well as the messaging central to their company’s values to acknowledge people of all walks. But several years on, have these calls for diversity, equity and inclusion (DEI) actually help people of color (POC) advance across industries that have historically been white, or is it just another case of lip service?
