And The Winner Is…

The People vs. OJ Simpson: American Crime Story was nominated for an absurdly high twenty different categories. It’d be a long night for anybody to try and figure out who won what throughout multiple posts so we figured we’d make it easy. Here’s every Black actor that won an award for the show, what category they won, and who they won it against.

Sterling K. Brown (pictured above) won an Emmy for “Outstanding Supporting Actor in a Limited Series or Movie” for his role as Christopher Darden in The People Vs. OJ Simpson: American Crime Story. He also gave a shout out to “the hottest chick in the game wearing [his] chain.” No, not Beyonce. He was talking about his wife.

Courtney B. Vance won an Emmy for “Outstanding Actor in a Limited Series or Movie” for his role as Johnnie Cochran in The People Vs. OJ Simpson: American Crime Story. Vance was against Bryan Cranston, in All the Way, Benedict Cumberbatch, in Sherlock: The Abominable Bride, Idris Elba in Luther, Cuba Gooding Jr. in The People vs. O.J. Simpson, and Tom Hiddleston in The Night Manager. This is Vance’s first Emmy win. Vance, like Brown, made sure to shout out his beautiful wife Angela Bassett.
