MERRY JANE

It’s been nearly a year since the UFC was sold for an unprecedented $4 billion to WME-IMG group. When the sale was announced, one of the first things that the company made clear was that Dana White, a name inextricably linked to the organization for years, would be staying on as president. And it’s easy to see why.

White has helped craft UFC into one of the preeminent mixed martial arts organizations in the world. It was largely spurred on in part by White bringing in fighters with personalities and skills that rival the heavyweight boxers in the years leading up to the MMA’s rise in popularity. Snoop sat down with White in this edition of GGN to talk about how White planned to introduce UFC to the masses, and how video games and Joe Rogan helped increase its exposure.

They also talked about one of MMA’s most prominent marijuana enthusiasts, Nick Diaz, and one of the most anticipated fights that may (or may not) happen: Conor McGregor versus Floyd Mayweather (White has more confidence in one of the fighters, in particular.) Find out more in the video above.
